| Discussion Societies | - A new Discussion Society forms for each North Carolina fall, winter, and spring academic term. Each society is a discrete event with no carry-over or continuation.
- Registration begins six weeks before the first debate and registrants are surveyed for their top public policy concerns. The twelve most cited concerns become the policy subjects for the Society's debate schedule.
- Participants can begin to submit ideas toward solutions to the policy concerns as soon as the list of potential subjects begins to be posted.
| | | | Hosting Locations | - Conversation Sit-downs can occur any time and day that a host location makes a table available and six people claim a seat at it.
- Host locations post weekly online Schedules of Availability that set out of the number of tables, the number of seats around each table, and a running tally of the number of available seats remaining by day and time.
- Sit-down participants can reserve a seat directly through the Schedule.
