What | - Stick to the Subject is a discussion society dedicated to the social art of conversation. It creates the public policy platform for the American Democracy Party.
- The discussions on ADP's policies are in-person and in-public. The give and take among the members is focused and friendly, with the emphasis placed on mutual understanding and not the changing of minds.
- The platform is modified according to the results of their deliberation.
| | | How | - At the beginning of each twelve-week term, members are surveyed for the public policy subjects they wish to study. The selected policies are scheduled one to a week across the term calendar.
- Members independent study each week's policy subject using Stick's online knowledge base or their own resources.
- Once a week they debate the subjects at roundtable discussions held across a network of restaurants, libraries, schools, cafes, and community centers.
- At the end of the week, they are surveyed again - this time with questions on suggested measures regarding the policy subject.
- The platform is modified according to the results of the second survey. The suggested measures are incorporated into ADP's platform as an add, modify, or delete.
